Colonial Garden Consortium

As Philadelphia prepares to celebrate the semiquincentennial, we are proud to join seven historic sites in launching the Colonial Garden Consortium!

Our partners in this initiative include Bartram's Garden, Fort Mifflin, Grumblethorpe, Penn Medicine, Powel House, The Woodlands, and Wyck Historic House, Garden, and Farm. These sites all feature vibrant green spaces and ties to the city’s colonial and early American history.

Through this partnership, we have created a StoryMap, a digital resource that features the sites’ histories in relation to that era of the city, highlights communities that made significant contributions to the practice and understanding of horticulture, spotlights notable plants, and provides a calendar of programming.
